enthusiasm your secret to generating

I have forgotten the number of times when I have bought something from a master salesman. This experience set me on a task to discover why some sales people were exceptional while others struggled even though they exuded excitement and knew their product well. But they still failed to sell me the product I came in to buy, and in fact, they lost my sale to some one else. Can you relate to this in your own buying experience? Yes, you have liked the sales person, yes, the sales person was knowledgeable yet you left that store and bought the same product some where else. Why was that? What I found to be the most serious yet amazing phenomenon is enthusiasm. It is not excitement, yet we all mixthe interpretations of the two thinking they are in fact the same. This is furthest from the truth and once you have realized this difference your sales will increase.Excitement is often confused with enthusiasm as it is a synonym for enthusiasm. The major difference between excitement and enthusiasm, is that excitement is spontaneous and immediate whereas enthusiasm is enduring. Enthusiasm is the elixir of life. For example, your planned holiday starts today and the feeling of excitement is intense almost feverish. A couple of hours into your holiday the excitement starts to wane, and eventually disappears altogether. Excitement is also destroyed when you get frustrated or find that what you have planned is not happening in quite the way you want it to. Excitement is seen most often during and shortly after you have attended a seminar, conference or team building event and you make promises to your self or set goals that are completely unachievable. A few days after such events the majority of people just go back to doing what they always did and the noble goals are abandoned as the excitement of the moment vanishes, till the next event when you get all excited again. And so the roller coaster begins a never ending up and down with little to show for it but just excuses as to why this or that could not be achieved. Unfortunately the greater majority are on this massive roller coaster ride.Once you understand the difference between excitement and enthusiasm you start moving forward, Enthusiasm is the elixir of life, it is there through trial and tribulation. It does not wane, it burns brightly and at every chance it will manifest itself in the way you carry yourself, speak, and the way your eyes light up when you are on the subject that enthuses you. Nothing dampens your enthusiasm. Setbacks are recognized for what they are as you power forward to achieve the goal fueled by enthusiasm. Goals powered by excitement on the other hand are like sparklers on fireworks night, bright, beautiful and shallow, running out of intensity very quickly.Enthusiasm is the fuel that keeps the spark burning indefinitely. It puts the smile into your eyes,The easiest way to develop enthusiasm is to act enthusiastically. It is that simple or is it? Fortunately it is.
