business nlp how to become more

Yes! You Can Ask for Help.....Have you ever seen Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey? One of the key themes in many programmes in the series is that the business is in difficulty. Gordon looks at the business owner and asks "how long can you go on like this?" Invariably the answer is "no more than 3 months". Have you ever wondered "how come they didn't ask for help earlier?" I suspect that the answer may be a combination of stubborness and procrastination, what Richard Bandler calls "the fudge factor and the fineagle phenomenon". Also many businesses seem to rely upon learning by trial and error rather than following the success traces of someone who has already been there. Gordon comesin, makes a few suggestions to change the menu, staff, decor, marketing and service and hey presto! the business is restored to profit (most of the time). He knows what to do since he has been there before!I know that like many of Gordon's clients, you may perceive that you do not have enough time or money.Well, you can blame it on the economy, blame it on your employer or your customers, blame it on the boogie... or you can plead with them... ignore it and hope that it will go away... or think and think about what the solution may be... but when the solution doesn't come... you may find that you just have to do something about it... and once you make a decision to act step by step by step and get started it just gets easier...For the last year we have been working towards becoming a bit more savvy in terms of marketing... you hopefully noticed... and we began to improve once we accepted that we had a problem and started to do something about it, by looking at people who were already successful and asking... how do they do it?So, what are the steps to start on the road towards continuous learning, improvement and success?Step 1: Recognise that there is a problemYour first step is to see clearly what is stopping you or constraining your growth and development as only that which has been defined is subject to change.Whenever you encounter a "barrier" to achieving your goals it's useful to ask these questions to define the "problem" more precisely, as sometimes people go off to solve the symptom instead of identifying the constraint that is at the root of the problem:How do you know that it is a problem? What do you see, hear and feel? When is it a problem?Where is it a problem? What is the problem, specifically?Who is it a problem for?Why is it a problem? How do you know to have it?What stops you from changing the problem?Who do you know who has already solved this problem? You can be sure that your problem is simply a reflection of what you have learned so far, so your next step is to.....Step 2: See Beyond The ProblemImagine what your life or business is like after you have resolved this problem. How do you know when you have solved the problem? What do you see, hear and feel?Step 3: Feel Positive and Make a decision to actFeel the feeling of certainty that you are resolving this problem and make a decision to do whatever it takes.Step 4: Ask for HelpBy now you will be able to identify where the problem was.You can look upon this as a rare and unprecedented opportunity to learn something new.So, the next step is to find someone who you want to learn from and ask them for help. This will probably be someone who has already resolved this problem, maybe a role model or someone who specialises in coaching, training or consulting to help others resolve the same or similar problems.Step 5: Take Action.Pick up the phone and call the person you want to ask for help, or pick up your pen and write to them, or sit down at your keyboard and type an email to them or if you don't know who to ask google it!Enjoy.
